Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. Some light wind at a couple of points, should be fairly easily edited/eq'd out. Recorded with a rode ntg-2 and zoom h2. Please let me know what you use it for!.

This is a crusty old tape i found. Field recordings possibly made maybe in the 70's or 80's. The end of the tape is weird i think he recorded a dog panting or maybe its a cat purring but has slowed it down. It sounds cool and i always wanted to use it for something but never quite managed to make it fit.

Recorded and processed at 24bit 48khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

4ch-surround field-recording of an old watermill in the village of gollmitz in brandenburg/germany. This clip is the rear channels, mic'd at close range near the edge of the waterwheel, the sluicing sound of water falling out of the wheel is clearly discernible. Recording conducted with a zoom h2, mics set to 120° dispersion.

A close-up stereo recording (3 meters) of a freight train idling then passing by. You can hear the train slowly accelerating more and more, until it is going by at very fast speeds. After the train has gone by, the train can be head in the distance. (sound was recorded using a mzr-700 md recorder and a sony ecm-ms907 microphone).

I found this wonderful 4 foot high waterfall in a small canyon in the shawnee national forest in southern illinois. The cool splashing of the rivulet as it spilled out onto a catch-pool was enhanced by the echo as the sound bounced off the 3-sided grotto. Recorded on one of the hottest days of august 2011 using my rode ntg-2 shotgun mic into zoom h4n recorder.

This is recorded at droescher's mill in cranford nj. The local dam used to power a waterwheel. The wheel is no longer in operation but it's still a nice relaxing spot. A little waterfall is in the foreground, a big waterfall (the dam) is in the background, and the sounds of traffic are audible faintly. Recorded on 06/23/19 at 8:45 a. M. Outside nassau hall, a historic building located in syosset, ny. Sounds that can be heard include: various birds, continuous planes flying overhead, an occasional passing car, a light breeze, a horse snorting (at 9:14 and 9:17), a few distant voices, and insects. A zoom h1n and 3dio fs binaural microphone were to used to record this track.

This recording was made as a souvenir for the Panama Pacific International Exposition and part of its profits were given to the American Red Cross. The record plate is Columbia Records number 1685 (39764). Originally manufactured by Columbia Graphophone Company.

This is a foghorn-like sound that i created using an accidentally recorded poot from a friend. I stretched the sound bite a few times while lowering the pitch, added a couple different reverb effects, and then finished it with some parametric eq, raising the bass, and using a low pass filter to cut out the high frequencies. If you would like the original poot sound, i have also uploaded it as fart sound 1.

I honestly don't know if the static sound (activated with two body contacts) is classified as "white" or "pink" noise, but i really like the sound of it! a plethora of crunchy, crispy, noisy snippets to transform into a drum kit or something like that!.

The sound of sap from a 40 year old sugar maple tree in southern illinois, dripping into a plastic bucket. After a long, dark, dreary winter, this sound is a sure sign that the earth in the northern hemisphere is slowly coming back to life. Sound recorded on january 11th, 2017 in southern illinois. Chips being eaten: this sound is purposefully exaggerated to enhance the disturbing feeling of a person eating too loudly and with an open mouth. One night while recording vocals it was really windy outside, and the wind slammed one of the doors in my house shot. The sound got caught by the mic and i liked it enough to use it as a snare sample for that same song i was recording vocals too. Hope you'll find a creative use for it!.
